Compliance documents and test records
We provide compliance support at every stage of an order — whether certification is carried out in your country or ours.
Official confirmation of quality
Two documents most procurement teams ask for first, plus the radio and battery paperwork that a Bluetooth lock adds.
ISO 9001:2015 certification
The management system of Wenzhou Mingsheng Security Technology Co., Ltd. is certified to ISO 9001:2015, covering incoming material, in-process and final inspection, supplier assessment and complaint handling.
Certificate and scope available on request.
SGS-verified supplier
Assessed, certified and inspected by SGS Group, with the most recent on-site verification completed on 30 October 2025. The audit covers production capacity, quality control and social responsibility indicators.

Radio and battery documentation — Bluetooth padlocks
CE-RED certificate
Model 916 carries an EC-RED certificate under the EU radio equipment directive 2014/53/EU, issued 14 December 2023. The file includes test reports for health and safety (EN IEC 62311, EN IEC 62368-1), electromagnetic compatibility (ETSI EN 301 489-1 and -17) and the 2.4 GHz radio spectrum (ETSI EN 300 328 V2.2.2).
Certificate reference HTT202312203. Authorisation to present it against our supply is held on file.
Lithium battery transport documents
The rechargeable battery in model 916 is covered by a UN38.3 test summary, an MSDS and a sea-freight transport report — the paperwork a carrier asks for before it will accept a lithium-battery shipment.
Issued with the shipment, not on request.

Technical tests for wear and corrosion
Tests are run against the finish and the environment the hardware will actually live in.
| Test | What it answers | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Salt spray, neutral — ISO 9227 | Whether the finish survives a corrosive environment without blistering or coating loss. | Plated and coated bodies, shackles, hasps |
| Cycle / fatigue testing | How many open–close cycles the mechanism completes before failure. | Cylinders, latches, locking mechanisms |
| Tensile and impact load | Whether the shackle and locking structure hold under force. | Disc padlocks, shackles, latch bolts |
| Humidity and temperature ageing | Behaviour in high humidity, coastal air and temperature swings. | Outdoor and coastal installations |
| Optical inspection | Surface and dimensional defects — porosity, deformation, edge quality. | All cast and machined parts |
CE · UKCA · RoHS · REACH · CPR
Environmental and safety compliance declarations for the EU and other markets. RoHS and REACH declarations confirm restricted-substance compliance; CE and UKCA declarations cover the applicable directives and regulations for the product family, and the CPR file covers construction-product documentation where it applies.
Actual scope depends on the model — confirmed per order.
IMPORTANT BOUNDARY
ISO, CE, UKCA, CPR, RoHS and REACH are not equivalent to US ANSI/BHMA, UL, fire, electrical or state and local building requirements.
The same boundary applies to radio equipment. The CE-RED certificate for our Bluetooth padlock is a European approval under directive 2014/53/EU. A US installation is assessed against FCC Part 15, which is a separate approval — it is not covered by CE-RED.
For a US project, tell us the standard your specification calls for. Where no report exists we write Compliance documentation available upon request — we do not claim a US approval we cannot evidence.
Compliance by target market
Which credential a project usually asks for, market by market — and where we hold nothing.
| Market | Normally requested | Our position |
|---|---|---|
| European Union (27) | CE, CPR and REACH | Held — declarations issued against the model and the finish ordered |
| United Kingdom | UKCA, with REACH-equivalent substance compliance | Held for the same product families, as a separate UK declaration |
| North America | ANSI/BHMA performance evidence; UL or BHMA listings where the specification names them | Not held. A CE file is not a substitute, and we say so before quotation rather than after |
| Eastern Europe | CE accepted in most countries; some add local requirements | Held — tell us the country and we confirm what the importer will be asked for |
| South America | National schemes in several countries — Brazil requires INMETRO | Not held. Local testing is arranged with your importer; we supply the drawings, materials data and samples it needs |
| Africa | No mandatory scheme in most countries; a certificate of conformity is required in some | Shipment documents and declarations issued per order |
Where a market requires a scheme we do not hold, the useful answer is no — given at specification stage, when you can still budget for local testing.
Reading a corrosion report before you compare suppliers
Salt-spray figures are quoted loosely in this industry. These are the fields that make a report comparable, and the ones that make it meaningless.
| Field | What it must state | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Test method | Neutral (NSS), acetic acid (ASS) or copper-accelerated (CASS) | The three methods are not interchangeable, and their hours are not comparable |
| Standard | ISO 9227 for neutral salt spray, stated on the record | Without a named method, a duration is a marketing figure rather than a result |
| Duration | Hours of exposure, with the acceptance criterion | A duration with no pass/fail criterion cannot be assessed |
| Material and finish | Grade and surface treatment actually tested | SS201 and SS304 are different products with different results |
| Model and part | The model, and which component was tested | A body result says nothing about the shackle, the cylinder or the key |
| Laboratory | Who ran the test and when | The report should be traceable to a laboratory, not to a catalogue |
When you ask us for a corrosion record, tell us the model and the finish. We send the record that exists for that combination — and when none exists, we say that instead of sending the nearest one. Salt-spray duration is set by the finish and the environment, so it is confirmed per report rather than quoted as a generic number.
REACH, SVHC and the chemical side of compliance
Substance compliance is a document question, not a performance claim — and European buyers need it at customs, not at the specification review.
What we provide
- REACH declarations against the model and the materials used
- An SVHC statement covering the candidate list current at the date of issue
- RoHS declarations for the applicable electrical and electronic scope
- Updated statements when the candidate list changes and an order is placed after that date
WHAT IT DOES NOT MEAN
REACH and RoHS are substance-compliance documents. They say nothing about mechanical strength, corrosion life, key security or performance against ANSI/BHMA or UL.
A supplier who presents a REACH statement as evidence of product performance is answering a question you did not ask.
Certification FAQ
Questions buyers ask before a specification review.
Which certificates can you send me?
Our SGS supplier verification report, ISO 9001:2015 certificate, and CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH and CPR declarations — with ISO 9227 salt-spray records where they exist for the model. Salt-spray and cycle-test records are available for the specific model you are ordering, where that test has been carried out.
Is ISO 9001 the same as ANSI/BHMA or UL?
No. ISO 9001:2015 certifies our quality management system, not the performance of a specific product against a US standard. If your project requires ANSI/BHMA, UL or a local building-code approval, tell us which one and we will confirm whether documentation exists.
How long is the salt-spray test?
Salt-spray duration is set by the finish and the intended environment, and is recorded per test report. We confirm the actual duration for your model rather than quoting a generic figure.
Can a test record for one model cover another model in the same family?
No. A record is issued against one model and one finish and carries the model it belongs to. If your specification spans several models, send the list and we will confirm which records exist and which do not.
Which documents travel with a shipment?
The commercial invoice, the packing list and the HS code, plus the declarations that apply to the products ordered. Test records are issued per model, so send the model list with the order rather than afterwards.
Can a declaration be issued in our company name?
Declaration documents can be issued to your company where the product is made to your specification. Tell us the name and address that must appear and we will confirm which documents can carry it.
Tell us which standard your project requires
Send the standard, the model and the destination country. We will come back with the documents that exist and a clear note on anything that does not.
