Figures are quoted from the supplier specification and the March 2024 durability test report for this model. Where a value depends on how the lock is used, both the standby and the typical-use figure are given rather than the better of the two.
Fit and compatibility
- It fits the same hasp or padlock eye a mechanical padlock uses — unit doors, gates and warehouse doors.
- Clearance is 107 mm inner height by 65 mm inner width. Send a photo of the hasp with the door closed and we will confirm it before you order.
- Local unlocking is Bluetooth and works without a network. Remote unlocking, where nobody is at the unit, needs a separate gateway.
- Water resistance is IP67 with the shackle closed and IPX5 while open. Rain and a 1 m immersion are covered by the test report; a jet of water into an open lock is not.
- A mechanical key opens the lock when the battery is flat, so the site does not depend on the app alone.
- The app keeps an access record: who opened the lock, when, and by which method.

Buyer questions
Do I need WiFi or a gateway to use it?
Not for local unlocking. The lock works over Bluetooth, so it opens without a network. Remote unlocking, where nobody is standing at the unit, needs a separate gateway. Tell us the access rules you want and we will confirm what the site needs.
What happens when the battery goes flat?
A mechanical key opens the lock, so a unit is never out of reach. The lock charges over USB-C and the app shows the battery state. Battery life is specified at over a year on standby, or about six months at five to ten unlocks a day.
Is it waterproof enough for an outdoor storage unit?
IP67 while the shackle is closed, which covers rain and the 1 m, 30-minute immersion recorded in the test report. While the lock is open the rating is IPX5, so do not direct a jet of water into it in that state.
Is CE-RED the same as FCC?
No. CE-RED is the European radio equipment directive and is what our certificate covers. A US installation is assessed against FCC Part 15, which is a separate approval. Tell us if your project requires it and we will confirm what documentation exists.
Which app does it use, and can we use our own?
It is supplied with the TTLock app, which sends time-limited e-keys, manages who holds access and records who opened the lock, when and how. We make no compatibility claim for any other platform — if you need one, tell us and we will say honestly whether it is something we can support.
Can we start with a sample before a production run?
Yes. MOQ is from 50 pcs, samples are ready from 5 days and a batch runs around 10 days after the specification and artwork are confirmed. Send the door type and we will confirm what to sample.
